KitchenAid Grain Mill Review

KitchenAid Grain MillThe KitchenAid Grain Mill Attachment is used with the KitchenAid stand mixer, another quality product from the company who first introduced the stand mixer to consumers way back in 1919. Since then, KitchenAid has continued manufacturing quality mixers and other kitchen equipment and appliances, making life a lot easier and more convenient for those who take up cooking and baking as a profession or as a hobby. The KitchenAid Grain Mill Attachment is just another one of the countless accessories that you can use with KitchenAid?s mixer, and there are a lot of reasons why you should choose this over all the other mills in the market.

This all metal grain mill easily attaches onto the KitchenAid stand mixer?s hub, letting you grind any low moisture and low oil grain. From wheat to corn, oats to rice, buckwheat, barley and millet, this grain mill will give you good quality flour just the way you want it. You have different consistencies to choose from, from barely cracked to extra fine, depending on what you will be using it for. Having this in your kitchen ensures that you have freshly ground grains anytime you need it, giving more flavor and texture to the food you are preparing. It also means that you get to keep all the nutrients that are usually drained from store bought ingredients, letting you prepare healthier meals. This is great for those who are on a gluten free diet, and for those who prefer other grains than those that are readily available in stores. It comes with a cleaning brush as well, making the clean up a lot easier for you.

Customer Reviews and Ratings

The KitchenAid Grain Mill Attachment for Stand Mixer is a good addition to the kitchen, as most users say. It is very easy to attach to your KitchenAid stand mixer, and it is also very easy to use, detach and clean as well. Because it attaches to another piece of equipment altogether, it takes up very little room while in storage. It also does not take up any kitchen counter space, since you already have the stand mixer there, and all you have to do is attach it as an extension. It also works less noisy than other grain mills. Although it is not completely silent, it is definitely comparably quieter than stand alone grain mills in the market. Also, it keeps the flour fresh and neatly ground, and does not heat up the flour as you grind it.

If you are a very heavy grain mill user though, you have to take note that it is limited to grinding about 10 cups of flour every session, after which you would have to wait for the motor to cool down a bit. This should not be a problem with those who have the professional series mixers though, as those would probably withstand the additional function.

The blades are steel, so you would have to store it with care. To prevent rusting, make sure you disassemble the mill and coat the blades with mineral oil, especially if you plan on putting it in storage it for a long time. Once you are ready to use it again, make sure it is thoroughly cleaned to avoid any clogging that may be caused by the flour sticking into the leftover oil on the blades.?Click here to read more customer reviews?

Also, it would require you to do a few passes before the mill grinds the grain really finely. However, if you want your grains coarse, then this should be fine for you.

So if you already have the KitchenAid stand mixer, save yourself a lot of trouble and get the KitchenAid Grain Mill Attachment. Nothing beats combining two products that will make working around the kitchen a lot easier and more convenient.
