Customer Reviews and Ratings
Users of the Bosch AE125 Electric Tankless Water Heater found it to be a big disappointment, and thought that it was definitely not worth the cash that they used to pay for it. First of all, it only calculates the temperature of the water coming in, and not the temperature of the outgoing water. Because of this, the water comes out to be either too hot, or too cold. It was also not designed to adjust depending on the flow rate, and provides substantial resistance to flow. This therefore makes the water temperature erratic, especially in areas where there is a lot of pressure from the water source.
The unit also has a flow sensor that automatically shuts the heater off at low flow. So if you just need very little water flowing from the sink, you could not expect to get any hot water at all. This also becomes a problem if you have ?low flow? faucets at home.
At its maximum heat rate, it uses up 120 amps, which means that for those whose control panel only uses 200 amps, for example, you cannot use the heater and other systems around your house simultaneously, such as central heating, for instance. Although this is something that you can do something about, it is very inconvenient to have to adjust all the other systems you have always used around your home just to accommodate a water heater. Users are also frustrated that this fact was not clear enough, which resulted in many unhappy customers.
Now in case you still decide to stick with your Bosch Electric Tankless Water Heater despite all these, you will eventually find out that this unit was definitely not built to last. It stops working after an average of two years or less, with one problem showing up after another. Asking from help from their technical support team would not be any help, with them usually ending up sending an email on instructions and troubleshooting steps that you can try. Most of the time though, this would not solve the problem at all.?Click here to read more customer reviews?
